TIP:  There's a fair amount of driving to complete the Golden Circle. We broke it up by being sure to take a good walk at each stop.

TIP: Carefully choose your hiking trail and check back frequently. Our particular train was later closed off due to a recent eruption.

TIP: As best you can, check the cruise ship schedule. We had the fjord to ourselves because it was an "off" day.

TIP: The Palace grounds have a beautiful park-like setting. While technically not a picnic location, we enjoyed our packed lunch while watching the swans.
