Costa Rica is the perfect family destination for first time international travelers. The Country is safe, friendly, easy to navigate, largely English-speaking, and affordable. Costa Rica also offers a wide-variety of activities from laying on the beach to zip-lining and repelling through rain forests. For nature and animal lovers, there are wildlife preserve filled with beautiful flowers, monkeys, birds, and even sloths. Our trip itinerary divides the trip into two halves, the first in the Manuel Antonio Park area and the second in the Volcano Arenal area. In Manuel Antonio, we saved money by staying in neighboring Quepos. In Volcano Arenal, we stayed at Parrot Hill Ranch, a rustic but truly amazing homestay experience we highly recommend.
